While they are not the smallest speaks available for your desktop, they provide a top notch sound that most small speakers are not able to produce.  They also have two convenient jacks in the front of the speaker for both headphones and an auxiliary input which makes it simple to connect an mp3 player without having to disconnect the speakers from your computer.
